XC6705/06 20V 200mA LDO Voltage Regulator with Green Operation (GO)

 

By combining Low Power Consumption with High-Speed Operation using our latest GO mode circuitry, the XC6705/06 is the ideal solution for many applications.  Whether it be a battery powered design or a product with a 12V supply, this new family of LDO Voltage Regulators offers several beneficial features to help designers maximise system performance whilst conserving energy through adaptive power consumption.

GREEN OPERATION (GO)

The GO (Green Operation) function of the XC6705/06 series enables a low quiescent current of 1.2μA with 50dB high power supply ripple rejection.

The supply current of the LDO will rise and fall as the output current demand changes.  When the output load rises, the responsiveness of the internal error amplifier improves which increases the LDO performance and as the output load decreases the responsiveness of the error amplifier reduces and supply current falls, as shown in the graph.

As a result, both low current consumption at light load and high-speed response at heavy load are achieved
