Step-up Charge Pump Converter

The XC9802 is a family of regulated step-up Charge Pump ICs aimed at white LED and simple step-up applications. Using only three external ceramic capacitors the XC9801/02 provides a very cost effective, step-up solution.

Regulation is achieved by control of the charge pump’s gate voltage waveform so output ripple is minimized. By connecting the SENSE pin to GND the XC9802 can also be used as voltage doubler.

The XC9802 switches to ‘pulse skip’ mode during light loads to maximize efficiency. The XC9802 is available in MSOP-8A, USP-8 (chip-scale) and USP-8B05 packages.
